Be the voice you want to hear in the world.
The Southern California International Review (SCIR), USC’s global undergraduate journal of international affairs, is now inviting outstanding underclassmen with a passion for international relations to apply a position on our editorial board.
We are the largest undergraduate IR journal on the West Coast and attract research from around the world – our issues can be found as far afield as Pyongyang University of Science and Technology in North Korea. A Daily Trojan article on one of our recent release symposiums can be found here. As an editor, you will become a leader in USC’s IR community – our editorial board has produced two Fulbright Scholars in the past three years.
Applicants must also be able to work in a fast-paced and fun environment. Duties include selecting, editing, and designing the layout of all prospective articles to the journal’s standards. There will be many deadlines to meet throughout the year and each editor plays an instrumental role in ensuring issues are published on time.
Prior research, writing and editing experience is highly preferred. Additionally, experience with graphic design software such as Adobe InDesign is a plus.
The application for becoming an Editor in Fall 2017 is now live. Please visit the link below and submit your application by Friday April 21st by midnight. You will be notified the following week if you will move on to the interview process.
